This workshop is perfect for Christ believers, ministry leaders, staff, elders, house church leaders, potential house church leaders and other potential ministry leaders. Bill Mowry and Jim Lett have been working closely with Phil Depp and the Apex Staff for over 2 years in the area of discipleship. Bill and Jim will be our guest leaders for this equipping workshop. The cost will be minimal, but the value will be tremendous. A catered lunch is included with the workshop cost. Stop by the table in the Apex lobby or contact Phil for additional information. • REGION 2 HAITI RELIEF EFFORT

    -

The Deerbrook HC & Region 2 will again be partnering with Lifeline Christian Mission as they respond to the recent earthquake in Haiti. Lifeline has been overwhelmed with dealing with their own losses while trying to still serve the Haitian people. show more info

They have relayed to us their multiple needs and our HC will be responding to those needs as we mobilize our resources to help them accomplish their goal of showing Christ?s love to the Haitian people during this difficult time. You can help at this time in the two following ways: 1) We will be establishing Apex as a collection point for Lifeline here in the Dayton area. Items can be dropped off during office hours or at the gatherings. The following are a list of items Lifeline has expressed as needs: Peanut butter, raisins, canned meats, powered infant formula and cereal, powdered milk, new shoes and socks, medical supplies, pain relievers, sheets & pillow cases. 2) We will be collecting funds for another Bagging Day (on April 24th) to prepare prepackaged meals here at Apex for Lifeline. Any excess funds will go to benefit Lifeline and their relief efforts in Haiti. Contributions can be made by writing checks to Apex with 'Region 2 Haiti' in the memo line. • Haiti Tent Drive

    -

Haitians need immediate shelter from landslides, illness and floods during rainy season which begins March 1. Region 3 Challenge: Buy 1 tent per Reg3 HC and it will be matched by Region 3 donations! Info at http://ahomeinhaiti.org/amazon.html. show more info

Many Haitian survivors are living with only sheets and boxes for shelter. These are useless against the coming torrential rains; and they are crying out for tents. A tent provides walls, a ceiling and a floor at a time when mud and water cover the ground. Tents may be purchased and shipped through http://ahomeinhaiti.org/amazon.html. Donations of cash or waterproof tents in good condition may also be turned into the Apex church office. If purchasing a new tent from Amazon, please forward a copy of your receipt to Tabatha Greene at Apex and the house church Elders will match your purchase with an identical tent in your house church's name. The need is immediate. Families are living outside, permanently, in the rain, with nothing but cloth sheets held up by sticks. This is the harsh reality for 700,000 Haitians who have no protection from the elements. Thank you for helping. Erinne Fullam moc.liamg@mallufennire

  • Angel Food Ministries

    -

Angel Food Ministries is dedicated to providing grocery relief and financial support to communities throughout the United States. If you or someone in your house church has need for low-cost food go to http://www.angelfoodministries.com. show more info

There are no qualifications, minimums, income restrictions, or applications. Everyone is encouraged to participate. Some churches even encourage participants to apply the money they saved to help someone else in need. Orders and distribution are handled by church host sites. Orders are collected by the host sites during the first part of each month. These orders are then turned in to the Angel Food main office in Monroe, Georgia, on a predetermined date. Several days later, in the same month, the host site either picks up the food from Angel Food's 160,000 square feet warehouse to fill the orders on Distribution Day or, because this ministry is growing nationwide, food is delivered to the host site by a pre-arranged delivery mode.
