"A New Creation/Cheerful Giver"
2 Corinthians 5:11-6:2; 7:5-13:1; 1 Corinthians 16:1-4; 2 Corinthians 8-9 or Stories 134-135 in The Gospel Story Bible
What does it mean to be a "New Creation"? (When someone repents of their sins and confesses Christ as Savior, this person is forgiven and then changed into something new. The old is now gone and the new has come. Our outsides may look the same, but our insides are completely different.)
What is so important about being a "cheerful giver"? (The Corinthians wanted to give for the right reasons. They were not thinking about themselves. They were thinking about others first, even when they didn't have much themselves. They received joy by giving.)
Why do these lessons go together? (Sin makes us look at ourselves before others. When Christ comes into your life, the sin cannot stay, therefore we can freely give to others and enjoy doing so.)
Ask God how you can give back to someone this week.
Q.15. What did God give Adam & Eve besides bodies?
A. He gave them souls that could never die.
