Shootings. Riots. Burnt Churches.
Fear v. Love is an opportunity for Apex to engage issues that cut to the heart of the Gospel and culture. In this family discussion, we will address recent events that have revealed the fabric of racial division in our society, the historical framework of race in our nation and in the church, and discuss the wide range of emotions that racial reconciliation evokes. Most importantly, we hope to establish a biblical view of justice and discuss how the Gospel calls Christians to be ministers of reconciliation. This event will have a guest speaker, panel discussion, and time for questions and answers. We invite you and your house church to attend.
We are excited to have Walter R. Strickland II from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminar and a Cedarville University alumni as our guest speaker starting at 6:30pm. There will be a short break at 8pm follow by a Q+A with Walter and our panel of guests till 8:30pm.
Dinner will not be provided at the event, so please feed you and your family before you come. When you arrive, the event will be hosted in the main auditorium.
At this time all of the childcare spots have been fulfilled. We would still encourage you, your house church and family to attend with the little ones in tow! If they become restless during Fear vs. Love the audio will be fed into the hallway speakers as well as Parents Center room for your convenience.
For those who did register their children, please head to the missions cafe for the check-in anytime after 6:15pm.
