Hope Over Heroin

The heroin epidemic has hit our region by force. In response, the Dayton community has decided to offer an alternative: HOPE. Friends and neighbors are invited to attend the Hope Over Heroin event at Washington Park, in Dayton, on July 15 & 16 at 7pm. "Hope Over Heroin is a collaborative effort by churches, businesses, government agencies, addiction recovery, and grief resources to reach those suffering with drug-related issues. This outreach, complete with food, live music, and real stories of deliverance, gives those hurting most, the hope they need to be set free and live a life of victory. The event will have times of worship, a gospel presentation and baptism. There will also be resources available to connect those suffering with addiction, to both short-term and long-term care.

If you are wondering how to get involved, we recommend that house churches canvas their communities prior to the event with flyers and invite those who are suffering with addictions to attend the event. House churches are encouraged to attend the event as learners of the issue that has gripped our community. You can download the flyer here. Please contact going@apexcommunity.org if you need help with printing.
