Acts 3:1-4:22 or Story 125 in The Gospel Story Bible

Who was the crippled man? What was he doing? (A man who couldn't walk since he was born. He was brought to the temple gate everyday to beg for money from those who went inside the temple)

What happened when Peter and John talked to the beggar? (They couldn't offer any money, but they offered something much greater: They called in the name of Jesus for the man to get up and walk, and he did. He walked, leaped, and even danced all the way through the temple praising God)

What did the people think when they saw him? What did Peter tell the crowd? (They were amazed & in awe; If they repented from their sins, they would be forgiven & blotted out like they never existed. Then the Lord's presence would be with them forever)

Pray Together

Ask God to help you believe like the crippled man & rejoice like He did!

Apex Kids @ Home: The Ascension

Hey Families!
We believe that discipleship in the home is such a prominent teaching throughout the Scriptures and the family is central in passing along the faith. Parents are called to impress the hearts of their children with the love for God. This begins with family worship – talking as a family about God and His Word.
This guide is to help do just that. Let me introduce the Apex Kids @ Home: A Lesson Preview This guide provides a simple outline and discussion points for NEXT WEEK’S lesson for 45&K and KidLife (1st-5th grade). Parents, we would like you to be the first to engage your kids in teaching and hearing God’s Word. At Apex, we want to equip with the necessary tools to begin or continue these discussions at home.
For more in depth discussion: The book we use is The Gospel Story Bible. The devotional book for the New Testament section of the GSB is Old Story New.

"The Ascension"

Read Together

Acts 1:1-11 or Story 121 in The Gospel Story Bible

What is the Holy Spirit? (It is the "Helper" that Jesus promised in John 14. It's purpose is to call us to God Himself. It teaches us and helps us remember everything about God. See John 14 or Story 112 to teach this further.)

Where was Jesus going? (He was going home to be with His Father, God.)

What did the two white-robed men tell the disciples about Jesus leaving? (The angels said, "Men of Galilee, why do you look to the sky? Jesus will come back and in the same way He left. He will return.")

Pray Together

Just like the disciples did, take time to pray and worship God together. Help your children by showing them what praising God looks like.
