It's that time of year again! Operation Christmas Child is underway and this year our goal is to pack 10,000 shoeboxes for children in countries where they would not normally receive a gift or most importantly, hear the gospel. We can make an eternal impact with just a small shoebox.
This year will be a bit different from last. We won't be doing The Greatest Journey, but rather will be focusing on packing quality boxes for the children. When packing these boxes, we know there are a lot of key pieces of information to keep in mind. Please click the buttons below for more information on what to pack and for a checklist on the next steps you can take.
Boxes and labels are available now for you to pick up—just visit our Missions Cafe at Apex Kettering or at Apex Xenia. We'll be collecting finished boxes at Apex Kettering from October 8-23.
Important reminder: Each box costs $7 to ship. DO NOT PUT ANY CHECK OR CASH IN THE BOX. You can pay online by clicking the button below or dropping off check/cash in a giving box or at our Staff Office (just make a note on the envelope or check that it goes to OCC).
Once again we will hold a church-wide Packing Party on Friday, October 21 starting at 6pm at Apex Kettering where Apexers can come and pack boxes together, and pray over the gifts. We also invite people to come to our Pack the Truck event, which will take place on Saturday, October 23 immediately after the 11am gathering at Kettering. We will take all the boxes that have been packed and dropped off, and load them up into the trucks that go to the distribution centers.
If you have any questions, contact firstname.lastname@example.org. We hope you get involved in this special opportunity to impact a child's life!
