Apex is built upon the foundation that Jesus Christ is King, Chief Shepherd, and Head of the church

(1). Within Apex, we have an assembly of gifted servants in the body who are used to equip the church for every good work until she attains unity (2). Our assembly of leaders includes the following teams: Elder Team, Regional Teams, Missions Team, Administrative Team, and Staff Team. Each of these teams strive to operate by consensus decision-making in order to pursue unity within the Apex body (3).

* (1) Matt. 16:18; 1 Pet. 5:4; Col. 1:18; Eph. 5:23 (2) Eph. 4:11-14; Col 1:28 (3) 1 Cor. 1:10; Eph. 4:3; Phil. 1:27; 2:2

Our Elder Team is responsible for:

  1. Living a life of servanthood to Jesus that is exemplary to the church body (1 Tim. 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9; Heb. 13:7; 1 Pet. 5:3)

  2. Guarding the doctrine and teachings of Apex (Acts 20:29-32; 1 Tim. 3:2; Titus 1:9)

  3. Praying for the church body (Acts 6:3-4; James 5:14)

  4. Overseeing the Regional Teams of house churches and shepherds to equip Apexers for ministry (Acts 20:28; Eph. 4:11-12, 1 Peter 5:1-3)

  5. Delegating ministry responsibilities to trustworthy workers - Regional Teams, Missions Team, Administrative Team, and Staff Team (Acts 6:1-7)

  6. Ensuring faithfulness to God in our mission, vision, and strategy

  7. Setting the annual budget

In an effort to facilitate city-wide ministry, we have broken the Greater Dayton area down into five regions.

Each of these regions have elder oversight. Each of our elders mentioned above has oversight responsibility within one of our five regions. Within each of these regions are multiple house churches.

Within each of our house churches, we have those who can shepherd and teach as well as those who can catalyze the body for action in the Kingdom. We call these leaders "house church shepherds." Learn more about Regions and House Churches by visiting our House Church page.

The Missions Team ensures that Apex functions well and above reproach in the areas of:

  1. Distribution of funds from the annual missions budget

  2. Building and maintaining relationships with our missions partners

  3. Creating and maintaining processes that mobilize Apexers to be on mission locally and globally
