Apex Staff Update
Staff Team Lead: Chris Cardiff
This past month our long-time Staff Team Lead and Region 4 Elder, Chris Cardiff, announced that after many years of service, he would be transitioning off of the Apex Staff. We are so grateful for numerous hours Chris has dedicated over the past 12 years to help love and lead our church family. During this transition, Chris will also be taking a break from his Elder duties in Region 4. Chris, along with his wife Sherri, shepherd the “Traveling House Church” in Region 4 and desire to continue to make a lasting impact for the Kingdom. We would like to thank Chris for his spirit of servanthood to our Staff and the entire Apex Network.
Here are a few words from Chris:
“Apex family, it has been a great privilege for Sherri and me to lovingly serve you over the past 12 years. We are at complete peace with what God has for us in this new season, while God continues to work and bless Apex in His perfect will and glory. We believe God has sovereignly brought Mike and Sally here for such a time as this and they will lead all of Apex Leadership on HIS path - not man’s.
I want to especially encourage the House Church Shepherds, who God has used to minister to the body of Apex and our community to show the love of Christ to a hurting world. Shepherds, keep persevering just as our Great Shepherd persevered and still holds us all up with His strong arms. We love you all and we are hoping with the sure hope we have in King Jesus, that He who began a good work will complete it.”
Love you all,
Chris Cardiff (Ephesians 3:20-21)
Technical Coordinator: Phillip Osterday
“Apex, after being given the opportunity to serve as an Apex staff member for over five years, God appears to be moving me away from vocational ministry. I have accepted a new position and will be starting on July 1st. While I am excited to start this new season, I am also sad to step down from my role as an Apex Staff member. God has blessed me immensely through this job and from serving alongside you. I am very excited to see how the Lord furthers His kingdom through the Apex body in the future!” - Phillip Osterday
We thank God for this wonderful opportunity for Phillip to continue to use his gifts to advance the Kingdom. Phillip, and his wife Lindsay, will continue to serve their house church in Region 4 and the music ministry at Kettering.
NEW! Gathering & Guest Services Coordinator: Nancy Sundra
We are pleased to introduce our new Gathering & Guest Services Coordinator, Nancy Sundra! Many of you know Nancy as she has served faithfully at the Help Desk and in the Kids Check-in. Nancy & her husband, Greg, have been married for nearly 32 years. They have 3 kids - Sam (26), Vladimir (24), and Nell (23). They have been with Apex for 4 1/2 years and are in the Huffman House Church in Region 1. She will be working in a few key areas: Overseeing Frontline and the welcoming environment of Sunday mornings, assisting Gathering Staff, managing guest services, and helping with administrative office tasks. She is a great addition to the team and we could not be more excited to have her!
